A roof emergency doesn’t wait — and neither do we. Crown Guard Roofing Services provides 24-hour emergency roof repairs, 365 days a year, across Watchfield, Swindon, Oxford, Witney, Carterton, Abingdon, Didcot and the surrounding areas.
When your roof fails, every minute matters. Water pouring through your ceiling, slipped tiles after a storm, a damaged chimney, or a sudden leak in heavy rain — these aren’t problems that can wait until Monday morning. They need a fast, calm, experienced response — right now.
That’s exactly what we deliver. As a family-owned roofing company with over 10 years of hands-on experience, our emergency team is on call day, night, weekends and bank holidays. We arrive quickly, assess the situation, make your roof safe, and stop further damage in its tracks. Where a permanent repair can’t be carried out immediately (because of weather, darkness or the scale of damage), we’ll fit a temporary tarpaulin or emergency cover so the rest can be sorted in daylight.
Every emergency callout is fully insured, every repair is carried out by skilled tradesmen, and every permanent fix is backed by our 15-year workmanship guarantee for total peace of mind.
We respond to every type of roof emergency — fast. If it’s urgent and roof-related, we can help:
If you’re worried, just call us — we’ll happily talk it through and advise honestly whether it needs an emergency response or whether it can wait until tomorrow. But generally, anything in this list should not be left:
If you’re on the fence, call us anyway. Talking to one of our experienced roofers takes a few minutes and can save you thousands in damage if we recommend acting quickly.
A roof problem caught immediately is usually a small repair. Left for a few days, it can turn into a major restoration job. Here’s what’s at stake when water gets inside your home:
Within months: Major repair bills, replacement of plaster, ceilings, decoration — and potentially permanent damage to flooring, furniture and electrics
A single emergency callout to make the roof safe and stop the water typically costs a fraction of what it costs to repair the resulting damage. Don’t wait.
When you call our emergency line, here’s what happens — quick, calm, and clear:
Phone our emergency line on 07747 599995. We'll answer quickly, listen carefully, and ask the right questions to understand what's happening.
We'll be with you as quickly as possible — usually the same day, often within hours for genuine emergencies in our local area. Our roofer will assess the damage and explain exactly what's needed.
Where possible, we carry out the permanent repair on the spot. Where weather, darkness or the scale of damage means we can't, we fit a secure temporary cover (tarpaulin, sheeting or temporary fixings) to keep your home dry until daylight.
We return as soon as conditions allow to complete the permanent repair to the highest standard — backed by our 15-year workmanship guarantee.
We’re here to help with your roofing emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing fast, reliable, fully insured support whenever you need it most
In an emergency, you don’t want a stranger turning up — you want an experienced, trustworthy local roofer who will actually pick up the phone, arrive when they say they will, and fix the problem properly. As a family-owned roofing company, our reputation depends on exactly that. The majority of our work comes through recommendations — and many of those started as emergency callouts.
Here are clear, honest answers to the most common questions we get from customers in roofing emergencies:
Yes. Our emergency line is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year — including weekends, bank holidays, Christmas Day and overnight. If your roof fails at 3am in a storm, we want to hear from you.
For genuine emergencies in our local area, we aim to be on site as quickly as possible — often within hours. Response times depend on your location, current conditions, and how many emergency callouts we're handling, but we'll always give you a realistic time when you call.
Outside / on the roof:
It depends on the weather, time of day, and the scale of the damage. Where possible, we carry out the full permanent repair on the spot. Where we can't (heavy rain, darkness, structural damage requiring scaffolding), we fit secure temporary cover to keep your home dry, then return as soon as conditions allow to complete the permanent repair.
There is a callout fee for genuine emergency response (especially out-of-hours and weekends) — that's standard across the trade. But we don't gouge customers in distress: our pricing is fair, honest and transparent, and we'll always tell you the cost upfront before any work begins.
Often, yes — particularly for storm damage, accidental damage or impact damage. We're happy to provide detailed quotes, photographs and written reports to support your insurance claim. Many of our emergency customers end up paying nothing or very little out of pocket once their claim is settled.
